Valentine's Day at Saint Andrews Square

This Valentine’s Day, Saint Andrews Square celebrated something very special — Droitwich Spa and the people, stories and history that make our town unique.

We welcomed more than 200 visitors over three hours for a vibrant celebration of local heritage, community and connection.

The Square was brought to life by a fantastic collection of local organisations and community groups, including West Midlands Heritage, The Ravens Building Heartbeat Group CIC, The Bus Archive, Intros Droitwich, Friends of Droitwich Lido, Willow Court Farmhouse Project and The Salvation Army.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover more about the town’s fascinating history, explore displays, share memories and meet the people working to preserve and celebrate Droitwich’s heritage.

The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic, with community groups enjoying conversations with visitors and plenty of stories being shared. It was wonderful to see people of all ages stopping to explore, ask questions and connect with the organisations taking part.

We were also delighted to welcome local councillors and representatives from the local police authority, adding to the sense of community and civic pride throughout the day.

More than simply an event, the day was a celebration of what makes Droitwich special — its history, its people and its strong community spirit. We loved seeing Saint Andrews Square filled with stories, conversations and community.
