Could you crack the code?
Over the Easter holidays, Saint Andrews Square was transformed into a family-friendly adventure as we hosted The Great Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 April.
Designed as a fun, self-led trail, the event encouraged families to explore the Square, discover participating retailers and take on an Easter-themed challenge together.
The Easter Bunny was getting ready for a big Easter party when he realised that six special golden eggs had gone missing! The eggs had been lost while shopping at Saint Andrews Square and were hiding in shop windows across the centre.
Families were challenged to find all six eggs, solve the clues and use the answers to crack the code and discover the secret Easter word: SQUARE.
Each golden egg had its own personality, specially designed to link with the retailer where it was hidden:
- 👗 Cancer Research UK – The Fashion Egg
- 🍬 Megs Pegs – The Sweet Egg
- 🥖 Quality Crust Bakery – The Baker Egg
- ☕ Coffee No.1 – The Coffee Lover Egg
- 🧸 Smart Ideas – The Cosy Egg
- 💪 Pure Gym – The Workout Egg
The trail gave families a reason to explore the Square and discover something different at each stop, while creating a fun way for our retailers to get involved in the Easter celebrations.
A sweet reward 🍫
We were delighted to partner with Muffin Break, who provided a free sweet treat for everyone who completed the trail and presented their finished card with the secret word.
Across the two days, 112 prizes were handed out — twice as many as were distributed during our previous Halloween Monster Trail!
It was fantastic to see so many families taking part, exploring the Square and enjoying a little Easter adventure together.
