A day of community fun

On Saturday 11 July 2026, Saint Andrews Square came together to support an incredible local charity, Droitwich Community Pantry & Fridge, at our annual Charity Day.

The event was the result of a fantastic partnership between the Square, our retailers and the charity, with the aim of raising funds while bringing the local community together for a fun-filled day.

There was plenty happening throughout the day, with live music, face painting, a sweet stall and toy tombola providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.

One of the highlights was our charity raffle, made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of almost 20 Saint Andrews Square retailers, who donated prizes to support the cause. The raffle alone raised £400 for Droitwich Community Pantry & Fridge.

The charity’s dedicated volunteers were also on hand throughout the day, helping visitors learn more about the vital work they do across the local community.

Despite exceptionally warm weather on the day, the event raised approximately £700 for Droitwich Community Pantry & Fridge.

The fantastic support from our retailers, visitors and the charity’s volunteers helped create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the Square, with people stopping to enjoy the entertainment, take part in the activities and support a cause that makes a real difference to local people.

Droitwich Community Pantry & Fridge works to reduce food waste while helping people access good-quality, affordable food. Their dedicated volunteers support hundreds of local people and organisations every week, making them a hugely valued part of the Droitwich community.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the day — from the retailers who donated raffle prizes, to the volunteers who gave up their time, and everyone who came along, bought raffle tickets or made a donation.

The event demonstrated the fantastic community spirit at Saint Andrews Square and the difference that can be made when local businesses, charities and residents come together.

Following the success of this year’s event and the positive feedback from everyone involved, we’re already looking forward to building on Charity Day next year. We hope to make the event even bigger and combine it with a larger programme of activity to bring even more people into the Square and raise further funds for Droitwich Community Pantry & Fridge.
